Thursday, July 9 - Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid 
1969. Winner of four Academy Awards this classic tale of historical buddies chronicles the exploits of two of the leaders of the Hole In The Wall Gang. Paul Newman and Robert Redford star as Butch and Sundance. Butch is all ideas, Sundance is all action and skill. The west is becoming civilized and when Butch and Sundance rob a train once too often, a special posse begins trailing them no matter where they run. Over rock, through towns, across rivers, the group is always just behind them. When they finally escape through sheer luck, Butch has another idea, "Let's go to Bolivia". Based on the exploits of the historical characters.

Thursday, July 23 - Step Into Liquid
2006. Dale Webster, Malloy brothers, Robert August. This visually spectacular film captures surfers of every type riding the most famous and unusal waves on the planet including Pipeline, the beaches of Vietnam and Cortes Bank. Director Dana Brown son of the creator of Endless Summer Bruce Brown presents "the best surfing documentary ever made". A perfect fantasy, awesome, artful and hypnotic.

Thursday, August 13 - Babe
1995. James Cromwell, Magda Szubanski. Filmed in New South Wales this winner of the Academy Award for Visual Effects is an Austrailian tale based on the book The Sheep-Pig by Dick King-Smith. The main animal characters are played by a combination of real and animatronic pigs and Border Collies. Babe is a little pig who doesn't quite know his place in the world. With a bunch of odd friends, like Ferdinand the duck who thinks he is a rooster and Fly the dog he calls mom, Babe realizes that he has the makings to become the greatest sheep pig of all time, and Farmer Hogget Knows it. With the help of the sheep dogs Babe learns that a pig can be anything that he wants to be.

Thursday, August 27 - Waking Ned Devine
1998. Ian Bannen, David Kelly, Fionnula Flanagan. Humble and happy-go-lucky, this utterly charming modern fairy tale creates a genuinely touching and sincerely funny fable about fortunes, friendships and fakery. Filmed on the Isle of Man. When word reaches two elderly best friends that someone in their tiny Irish village has won the national lottery, they go to great lengths to find the winner so they can share the wealth. When they discover the "lucky" winner, Ned Devine, they find he has died of shock upon discovering his win. Not wanting the money to go to waste, the village enters a pact to pretend Ned is still alive by having another man pose as him, and then to divide the money between them.
