Our popular Photo Contest returns with something new for 2011 --- more time to get your best shot! 

Contestants can take photos on Friday, June 24 and Saturday, June 25  until evening when entries are submitted. All photos must be taken on Chincoteague and Assateague Islands and submitted in digital format (jpeg) at the Chincoteague Senior Center on Church St. between 5:00-7:30pm on Saturday, June 25.  All events take place at this location.

 Awards will be presented on Sunday morning at 10 a.m.
with commentary by the judges.

On Friday evening at 8:00pm, award-winning National Geographic photographer James Stanfield presents “The Art of Seeing” with advice for capturing outstanding images. Tickets: $10, $5 students. Purchase online or at the door. FREE to photo contest registrants.

♦ $20 registration fee includes submission of two
photos.  Additional photos may be submitted for judging at an additional fee of $10 each.

♦ No registration fee for contestants aged 12 and under

Preregistration is encouraged! Register online OR send a check for $20 to CCA, PO Box 257, Chincoteague, VA 23336. There is no fee for children under 12 but they still need to register. Onsite registration is available from 5:00 - 7:30pm on Saturday, June 25 when photos are submitted.
