Using ground penetrating radar, Accomac Roots, a CCA affiliate, has mapped both of the African American cemeteries on Chincoteague Island: Odd Fellows and Christ  Union Baptist Cemetery.  Click on the links to see the maps.  Many of the graves are unmarked.  Accomac Roots seeks information to complete the data base on these cemeteries.  If you know who lies in these unmarked graves, please contact Accomac Roots at: accomacroots@gmail.com.
