The CCA sponsors an annual Plein Air Art event each fall that culminates in an exhibition and sale of paintings on the second Saturday of September. For more information on the 2015 plein air event, check back in the summer of 2015.

The CCA offers a sunset cruise on the waters around Chincoteague and Assateague islands each October as a fund raiser. Enjoy wine, cheese and a gorgeous sunset on this gentle, waterborne tour of Chincoteague Island. Thanks to Captain Carlton Leonard of Daisey's Island Cruises for his generous support.

The Mother Earth Day Festival will be held on Saturday, May 9th at the Robert Reed Park in downtown Chincoteague. Admission is free. Come enjoy lots of great exhibits and fun activities, including:

Arts and Crafts - 13 local artists will display and sell their unique creations.
CCA Bake Sale - cookies, cupcakes and more by the same bakers that supply the CCA's very successful Holiday Cookie Sale.
Free Children's Activities - Paint a flower pot and plant a flower for Mother's Day, make beaded jewelry, construct a snake toy from recycled cans and bottles.
Live Music - Eight Track Mind featuring Andrew Ward and Tony White; Greg Shupe and Tom Marinelli.
Plant Sale - The Chincoteague Garden Club has been busy growing seedlings and transplanting perennials. Take advantage of this opportunity to purchase locally grown plants for your garden at great prices.
Rain Barrel Workshop - Take home a rain barrel to collect water for your garden. Only 20 barrels available and preregistration is required. Call 757-787-0918, extension 129.
Recycling - drop off unwanted small electronics (computers, printers, anything with a plug--even if they don't work--but no large TVs), household items, craft supplies, books and clothing at the CCA recycling booth. Non-working electronics will be safely recycled. Clothing will be donated to Hospice of the Eastern Shore. Other items will be sold at upcoming Artful Flea markets to benefit the CCA building fund.
Silent Auction - Bid on hand painted tote bags and windows by local artists and on the amazing turtle painting (shown above) by Egret Moon's Jamie Thompson.
Environmental Exhibits - including Chincoteague Bay Field Station, Delmarva Discover Center, Waste Watchers, NASA  and the Ward Museum
