HEAR Live Music featuring
  • The Earth Band performing on garbage cans,lawn chairs,bundt cake pans,tubing,oxygen tanks and the unknown
  • QUAD POD featuring groovy reggae music
  • HIGH TIDE with their original folk music
     
 LEARN Amazing Facts about the environment and how you can help protect it at information booths including:
  • The Path of Enlightenment an 80 foot long wall made from bicycle boxes to educate and enlighten you and your family.  This popular exhibit returns from last year and includes solutions for your family to put into effect at home. Educational and hands-on for the kids
  • NASA CRITTER BOOTH will be presenting information and facts on endangered critters and things we can do to help cut this out

  • MARINE CONSORTIUM will have hands on displays to teach about water pollution and its effects. Demonstrations will be on the hour throughout the day.

BID on Unique Works of Art
Local artists have turned hand carfted bird houses into one-of-a-kind, whimsical and unique works of art The bird houses will be sold during a silent auction during the festival to raise funds to add benches to the park. Each bird house has a certificate of authenticity and the artist’s bio.  A great way to own a piece of original art and help our park!

TOUR Wetlands on Wheels
The mobile van with displays and exhibits about protecting our wetlands. Lots of hands-on activities here, too. WOW will also have a wide array of native plants available for purchase!

BUY Mother-Earth-Approved Stuff

  • Organic Food at the Main Street Merchants Farmers Market
  • Forty artists and craftsfolk will be selling their wares
  • Native plant species from Environmental Concern
  • MAKE YOUR OWN TIE DYE SHIRT
  • HIGH SCHOOL GOURD ART The Chincoteague High School art class will have 35 gourds that they have decorated for sale.  All proceeds go the the art department
  • MAKE A MOTHER'S DAY CARD out of all recycled goodies
  • BICYCLE POWERED SPIN ART

RECYCLE at the FREE-CYCLE BOOTH

BRING SOMETHING that works and exchange it for something else in the booth.  Another wat to Re-cycle.  After 3 p.m. everything will be for sale for five bucks. Money to go the High School Computer Lab

 
PLAY GAMES with your little ones.  Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) will stage a cardboard house competition.  Games for kids like soda bottle bowling,homemade stilts on coffee cans, giant bubbles, face painting and a tent for the little guys when they need a break

THE TOWN OF CHINCOTEAGUE WILL HAVE A TRUCK ON SITE TO COLLECT
SMALL APPLIANCES SUCH AS COMPUTERS,MONITORS AND KEYBOARDS
