The Mother Earth Day Festival happens each spring on the Saturday of Mother's Day weekend. The Festival is an eco-friendly event with educational tips for 'green' living, recycled art, lively music and vendors with recycled or environmentally conscious goods.

Immortalize Chincoteague  and Assateague Islands through photographs. The CCA photo contest is open to photographers of all ages & levels of skill. A Friday night workshop by National Geographic Photographer Jim Stanfield provides tips for taking great photos.

  Music @ The Dock

Music @ the Dock is a series of public concerts performed in Robert Reed Park along the Waterfront in Downtown Chincoteague. The concerts are FREE and each presents a different style of music. Bring a chair or blanket and sit on the lawn or listen from your boat docked on the waterfront.

Summer Cinema Series                                    

June - August

CCA presents five films in Robert Reed Park during the summer. Films are FREE to the public and shown at dusk on the big screen. Bring your chair or blanket and relax under the starts. Popcorn and snowcones available at old fashioned prices.

  Plein Air Art Event                     

September 9-10

CCA sponsors an annual Plein Air Art Event each fall that culminates in an exhibition and sale of paintings on the second Saturday of September.  “Plein Air” is a French term that means painting in the open air, working directly from the landscape as it appears at that moment.  More than forty artists from many states paint  for two days throughout Chincoteague and Assateague Islands.

California Suite

A staged reading of California Suite by Neil Simon presented by the Chincoteague Island Theatre Company with support from CCA.

The Chincoteague Island Theatre Company is a new initiative created to bring dramatic performances to the Island. CCA is helping to launch the new Company.

No tickets but donations at the door are requested.
