Water Heritage Festival                    

June

Chincoteague's first Water Heritage Festival was held on June 21, 2008  in Robert Reed Park in Downtown Chincoteague.  Vendors, food, music, environmental education, events for kids, a beautiful day and lots and lots and lots of fun.  The festival returns in 2010.

 Films                                      

June - August

CCA presents five films in Robert Reed Park during the summer.  Click Here to see the dates times and titles

CCA sponsored the Robert Wise Film Festival featuring works by Academy Award-winning American film producer and director, Robert Wise. Mr. Wise created an impressive body of work in film genres ranging  from horror to noir to Western to war films to Science Fiction, to musical and drama.

  Plein Air Art Event                     

September

CCA sponsors an annual Plein Air Art Event each fall that culminates in an exhibition and sale of paintings on the second Saturday of September.  “Plein Air” is a French term that means painting in the open air, working directly from the landscape as it appears at that moment.  More than  forty artists from many states paint  for two days throughout Chincoteague and Assateague Islands.

  Native American Festival                    

November

The Native American Festival is held each November in Robert Reed Park on the waterfront in downtown Chincoteague. Accohannocks and the Nause-Waiwash are among many tribes and bands that participate in the Festival.

Chamber Music                                    

Chamber music concerts are presented annually. Performers have included: The David Trio, Attaca String Quartet, Trio La Milpa and the Harlem Quartet
