Native American Festival  Saturday, November 8, 12:00 noon to 5:00 pm. The 2nd  Native American Festival was held at Robert Reed Park on the waterfront in downtown Chincoteague.   Check out the photo album of the festival! The Festival began with the Veteran’s Honoring Ceremony   Performances  Native dancing Storytelling Native flute The movie Homeland was shown.  Homeland tells the story of life on the reservations from the point of view of Native Americans.   Demonstrations Flint knapping Corn grinding Pine needle baskets Beading Primitive technology Scales and Tails Wildlife Program presented by Pocomoke River State Park

Displays Local Native artifacts Vendors offered handmade and other Native items Food Vendors Buffalo burgers Fry bread Clam fritters Hot dogs And more Children’s Activities 2nd Saturday Native American artists continued to demonstrate their work at CCA member galleries and shops throughout town during 2nd Saturday.  Festivities began at 6 p.m.
